In Amritsar, Jaipal Singh Bau, an Aam Aadmi Party leader, was injured during a crossfire following a heated confrontation with a former policeman. The incident, linked to a parking dispute, took place on Thursday and left Bau in critical condition initially.
Medical personnel have since confirmed that Bau is out of danger, though he required emergency surgery at a private hospital. The argument with his neighbor, ex-policeman Tajinderpal Singh, escalated from a verbal disagreement to a physical altercation, resulting in the exchange of gunfire. Authorities have stated that both parties continue to receive medical care and will be apprehended post-discharge.
