During the celebration of Nepal's 19th Republic Day at Tundikhel, Kathmandu, President Ramchandra Paudel appealed for collective efforts from political parties, civil society, and other stakeholders to create a cultured and prosperous society. He emphasized the importance of realizing constitutional goals, highlighting the need for good governance, development, and prosperity.
The President highlighted that a collaborative approach involving all government levels, private sectors, and civil society is crucial to achieving social justice and economic growth. Paudel stressed the nation's commitment to safeguarding independence, sovereignty, and unity while fostering sustainable development.
His address notably replaced the traditional keynote speech by the Prime Minister, as Balendra Shah chose not to speak. The ceremony featured a guard of honour from the Nepali Army and symbolic gestures, reflecting the day's significance. Key officials including the Vice-President, Prime Minister, and other dignitaries were in attendance.
