Rohit Pawar, a prominent leader from the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction), has voiced strong criticisms toward the Criminal Investigation Department's (CID) progress in probing the fatal plane crash that claimed his uncle Ajit Pawar's life and that of four others on January 28. Rohit expressed his concerns during his visit to the CID office in Pune.
Pawar attributed the lag in the investigation to potential pressure from higher authorities, suggesting the Home Department might be influencing the CID's pace. Dissatisfied with the agency's response, he took to social media to threaten more drastic actions, including the symbolic gesture of locking the CID office. The CID insisted that the investigation is moving in the right direction, coordinating with various agencies such as the AAIB and DGCA to determine any elements of sabotage or negligence involved in the crash.
