Negligence Allegations Filed Following Bridge Collapse in Hamirpur
Authorities have initiated legal action against the agency and contractor responsible for the Betwa river bridge construction in Hamirpur following a fatal collapse. Six workers died as a result of the accident and negligence charges have been filed by officials.

Authorities in Hamirpur have filed a case alleging negligence against the agency and contractor in charge of constructing the Betwa river bridge, following the collapse of a concrete slab that resulted in the deaths of six workers. Police confirmed the charges were registered on a complaint by a project manager.
The incident occurred amidst a severe storm, causing significant structural failure on the construction site located about 25 km from Hamirpur town. The government has suspended an engineer connected to the project and has announced financial compensation for the victims' families and injured workers.
