The Indian Army is on high alert to resume Operation Sindoor 2.0 if circumstances demand, according to Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff. Speaking at an event coinciding with the NDA's 150th course completion, Dwivedi emphasized the collaboration among military branches to tackle multi-domain warfare effectively.
In 2025, Operation Sindoor was launched to dismantle terror infrastructure in response to a deadly attack in Pahalgam. Despite a temporary pause in hostilities, preparations continue for any reactivation of the operation. Dwivedi also discussed modern warfare's complexities, noting the strategic need for cautious troop deployment in an era of heightened battlefield transparency.
