A tragedy unfolded in Thiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu, where a mob allegedly beat to death a migrant worker named Prosenjit Das. This shocking event occurred after Das, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, allegedly misbehaved with a woman while seeking water at her home.
According to police reports, the woman sought refuge inside her home, prompting a violent reaction from Das, who reportedly damaged the house's windows with a knife. Her calls for help led to an assembly of relatives and locals who confronted and assaulted Das. Despite prompt medical help, he succumbed to his injuries. Law enforcement has initiated an investigation into the incident.
