The Gurjar community proceeded with the installation of statues honoring their late leader Kirori Singh Bainsla and two martyrs in Kushalipura village, Sawai Madhopur. Despite administrative concerns over its location within the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, the community organized a dedication event.
Among those attending were the family members of the honorees, who led rituals accompanied by community leaders. Vijay Singh Bainsla, Kirori Singh's son, actively participated in the ceremony marked by traditional rituals and community gatherings. The site has significance for the Gurjar reservation movement, a point of contention with local authorities due to environmental restrictions.
Heavy police presence was noted due to tensions between community members and law enforcement officials. Critics, including Vijay Singh Bainsla, targeted local politicians, accusing them of unfulfilled promises regarding the memorial during election campaigns. Despite the opposition, the community proceeded, driven by a long-standing demand for a martyr memorial.
