Alleged Gang Member Captured After Shootout in Delhi

A member linked to the Himanshu Bhau gang was apprehended following a shootout with Delhi police. The suspect, Ashish alias Don, was already wanted in connection with four criminal cases. Authorities recovered a semi-automatic pistol and empty cartridges during the arrest.

An alleged affiliate of the Himanshu Bhau gang, aged 26, was taken into custody after a brief gunfight with law enforcement in outer Delhi, a police official disclosed on Sunday.

The suspect, known as Ashish alias Don from Bakkarwala, had been evading capture in relation to four ongoing criminal investigations. Acting on specific intelligence, officers traced and attempted to intercept him, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. The police succeeded in overpowering and arresting the suspect.

During the arrest operation, authorities confiscated an illegal semi-automatic firearm along with two used cartridges from Ashish's possession.
