Delhi police have apprehended six foreign individuals, including five from Nigeria and one from Ivory Coast, in charges of residing in India without the necessary visa paperwork. The operation took place in response to an investigation overseen by the Vasant Kunj North police station concerning a drug-related case.

During the investigation, the detained persons were asked to present their travel and visa documents. They initially claimed that their documents were submitted to their respective embassies. However, subsequent checks with immigration authorities confirmed their overstay without valid visas.

Following legal and verification protocols, the authorities have begun deportation procedures for these individuals through the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO). The individuals detained include Kamassoko Aicha Sylla from Ivory Coast and Nigerian nationals Promise Okwaje, Maryann Nwanze, Omotola Ishola Sideeq, Emmanuel Chibuike Mmuo, and Nzubechukwu Kenneth Agigaony.
