Strike on Venezuelan Gang Leader Sparks International Attention
President Donald Trump announced a military strike that killed Hector Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, known as Niño Guerrero, leader of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. This action was taken by the U.S. Southern Command in coordination with Venezuela to target the notorious prison-based organization involved in various criminal activities.
On Friday, President Donald Trump revealed that U.S. forces conducted a military strike resulting in the death of Hector Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, the notorious leader of Venezuela's prison gang, Tren de Aragua, also known as Niño Guerrero.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump disclosed that the United States Southern Command executed a precision strike under his direction to eliminate Niño Guerrero, a significant figure linked to one of the most violent terrorist organizations. The strike was reportedly coordinated with Venezuelan authorities, highlighting collaboration between the two nations.
The Trump administration has persistently targeted Guerrero and other Tren de Aragua leaders, placing them under sanctions for alleged criminal activities, including drug trafficking and money laundering. The State Department has labeled Tren de Aragua a foreign terrorist organization, linking it to U.S. operations and alleging ties with President Nicolás Maduro's government.
