Odisha govt to waive royalty on sal leaves, to benefit 25 lakh leaf pickers

Ahead of the elections, Odisha government Monday announced to waive the royalty on sal leaves. With this move, around 25 lakh sal leaf pluckers will be benefited in the state, an official release said.

The royalty rate of sal leaves was Rs 86 per quintal, it said.
