The mortal remains of Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, Avinash Dubey, who died of cardiac arrest in Kohima, were consigned to flames Tuesday near river Damodar here. Dubey, who hailed from Bhurkunda in Ramgarh district was posted in Kohima and died on February 16, family sources said.

They claimed that Dubey went into severe depression after the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha, who attended the last rites of the jawan, said that the jawan's family would be provided with all possible help from the government and he would talk to Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das for help.
