Police constable commits suicide

A 35-year old police constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house here Saturday, police said. The deceased was identified as Lokanath, who was working as a constable at Kadri police station in the city, they said.

Lokanath is survived by his wife and a daughter. The reasons for the constable taking the extreme step were not known, police said.
