Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi takes additional charge as new Governor of Mizoram

Professor Jagdish Mukhi was on Saturday sworn in as the new Governor of Mizoram at a simple function held at the Raj Bhawan here. He is also the Governor of Assam. Mukhi succeeds Kummanam Rajasekharan who resigned on Thursday. In May last year, Rajasekharan, the former chief of BJP in Kerala, was appointed as the Governor of Mizoram by President Ram Nath Kovind.
