Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch, Indian Army gives befitting reply

Pakistan on Tuesday violated ceasefire in Shahpur and Kerni sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. Indian Army is retaliating effectively. No casualty or damage to property has been reported so far.

At around 5:00 pm, Pakistan initiated mortar shelling and small arms firing in Shahpur and Kerni sector. Further details are awaited. This comes a day after a BSF jawan and a 5-year-old girl were killed in unprovoked firing by Pakistan in Mankote and Krishna Ghati sectors of Poonch, while a civilian sustained injuries due to firing in Kerni and Shahpur areas along the LoC.
