Army Vice Chief Lt Gen Devraj Anbu visits forward areas bordering China in Sikkim

Vice Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Devraj Anbu visited Trishakti Corps and forward areas of Sikkim bordering China during a two-day visit that ended Thursday, a Defence official said. The Vice Chief was briefed by Lt Gen C P Mohanty, GOC Trishakti Corps, at its headquarter at Sukna in North Bengal on the operational preparedness and prevailing situation on the border.

Lt Gen Anbu thereafter went to East Sikkim to visit key forward posts, where he interacted with the troops. He complimented the soldiers for their professionalism, commitment and dedication for maintaining round-the-clock vigil in sensitive border areas and upholding the sovereignty of the nation, the official said.
