Delhi aunty apologises for slut shaming young girl wearing short dress

Delhi aunty who slut-shamed a young girl for wearing a short dress has apologised after the incident triggered wide condemnation and uproar on social media. In the 10-minute long video, which has been shared widely online, the woman refuses to apologise for her disrespectful comments while another woman can be seen defending the young girls. At the end of the video, the woman asks the parents of the girls to 'control them' and even warns to call the police. The incident took place at Nukkadwala Restaurant, on Sohna Road in Delhi.

However, the woman named Soma Chakrabarty apologised later through a post from her facebook account. This is what her message reads:

"I extend an unconditional apology to all the girls. In hind sight, I realise, I was harsh and incorrect in my statement. If any, I should have offered my opinion in private. I was concerned, however, I realise that I should have been protective and progressive in my outlook and not conservative and regressive. As a wife, sister and a mother and more importantly as a woman, I value every woman's dignity. Once again, I profusely apologise to all women who's sentiments have been hurt."
