6 illegal migrants from Bangladesh held in Assam

Six persons who were declared Bangladeshis living illegally in Assam were arrested in Kokrajhar district on Tuesday, police said. The Foreigners Tribunal declared these six, including three women, illegal migrants from Bangladesh.

The declarations were made for some in 2006 and for others in 2011 but they were all absconding. DSP Border of Kokrajhar, Sohrab Ali, said they were apprehended by a police task force from Gossaigaon subdivision of the district.
