Militant arrested in Manipur

A militant has been arrested by security forces from Moreh town close to Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur's Tengnoupal district, police said Saturday

A self-styled 'captain' of proscribed militant outfitPeople Liberation Army (PLA) was arrested by a joint team of Manipur police and Assam Rifles (AR) while conducting frisking at Moreh town on May 26 last, said a release issued by Manipur police

A case has been registered at Moreh police station for further investigation, the release added.
