Vodafone has given the commitment to the people of Ghana for bringing socio-economic development in the West African country.

Patricia Obo-Nai, the new Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana has pledged the company’s commitment to the socio-economic development of Ghana. She made the pledge when she paid a courtesy call on President Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.

A release issued in Ghana’s capital, Accra on June 4 said Obo-Nai reinforced Vodafone’s determination to lead the digitalization drive in Ghana, ensuring that no one was left behind. As Ghana remained a very important market for Vodafone, the company would play an integral role in the country’s growth agenda. “Ghana will continue to be very important to our long-term strategy and aspirations,” the CEO said, as reported by Graphic Online.

The release noted that Obo Nai was appreciative of the Ghanaian government’s commitment to Vodafone Ghana as a 30 percent shareholder and was optimistic that with the current level of commitment from both the Finance and Communications ministries, Vodafone Ghana has no choice but to grow in market share and other areas of operation.

It said the Board Chairman of Vodafone Ghana, Kobina Quansah, was appreciative of the opportunity to meet with the President and to introduce the new CEO to him.
