Former PTI journalist Ruplal Sharma passes away

Senior journalist Ruplal Sharma, who had a long stint with the Press Trust of India (PTI), passed away on Wednesday after prolonged illness, his family said. Seventy-seven-year-old Sharma, who retired as a Special Correspondent, is survived by his wife and two sons.

During his stint in PTI, he covered Union Home Ministry, Congress party and Jammu and Kashmir-related issues among others. After his retirement, Sharma was working for Jammu-based daily newspaper Kashmir Times.
