TN DGP sets up team to handle possible after effects of

Tamil Nadu DGP J K Tripathy onTuesday set up a five-member team to initiate precautionarymeasures to avert untoward incidents in the State followingrevocation of Article 370 that gave special status to Jammuand Kashmir

The move comes a day after Union Home Ministrydirected all security forces and law enforcement agenciesacross the country to stay on 'maximum alert.' According to a release from the TN DGP, the officers,all in the rank of Additional Director General of Police, havebeen allotted different zones in the state

The officers are directed to take charge of designatedareas, take stock of law and order developments and initiateadequate precautionary measures to avert untoward incidentsand supervise law and order bundobust, it said.
