23-year-old gangster held in Delhi for killing two persons: Police

A 23-year-old gangster was arrested for allegedly killing two persons in the national capital, police said on Wednesday. The accused has been identified as Faizal Shah, a resident of Welcome area. He was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest, they said.

Police got a tip-off on Monday that Shah would come to meet his associates near the house of one Abdul Nasir. They were planning to kill Nasir over an old enmity. They got information that Nasir will visit his mother on the occasion of Bakr-Eid, said a senior police officer. "Thereafter, a trap was laid and Shah was arrested before he could execute his plan," said Pramod Singh Kushwah, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell).

During interrogation, it was revealed that Shah had killed one Imran, a resident of Shashtri Park, in June, while in July, he had killed one Imran Saifi, police said, adding that a country-made pistol and five live rounds were seized from him. PTI NIT

New Delhi, Aug 14 (PTI) A juvenile was apprehended from Bindapur area for allegedly stealing valuables from bags of some bikers, police said on Wednesday.

According to the police, a video went viral where several persons were seen stealing valuables from the bags of some bikers. Through video, police have identified four accused persons. One juvenile has been apprehended, they said, adding that the remaining three are on run and raids are being conducted to nab them. PTI NIT

2 arrested in outer Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 14 (PTI) Two men were arrested in outer Delhi in separate incidents for allegedly carrying a illegal weapon and illicit liquor, police said on Wednesday. In the first incident, one Ashish Edward (26), a resident of Narela, was apprehended during picket checking and one pistol and two live cartridges were seized from him, a senior police officer said.

While in the other incident, one Vikas, a resident of Rohtak district in Haryana, was arrested from near JJ Colony, Bawana, police said, adding that a mini-van and 118 cartons of illicit liquor were seized.
