Nagpur witnesses three killings in five hours Nagpur, Aug 22 (PTI)Three separate cases of murder including a suspected contract killing were reported in Nagpur city in the space of five hours, police said on Thursday. Nagpur, the second capital of Maharashtra, is the hometown of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also handles the home portfolio.

Vijay Dahake (22) was stabbed to death by an unidentified person in Mungsaji Nagar locality around 11 pm on Wednesday, police said. A case of murder was registered at Nandanvan police station and further probe was on, an official said.

Before that, three unidentified men stabbed Mohhamad Asif Sheikh (25), a vegetable vendor, and his friend Sayyad Imran Sayyad Niyaz (22) in the Nandanvan area around 7.30 pm. The assailants picked up some veggies from Asif's cart, but refused to pay.

When Asif demanded payment, they abused him and stabbed him in a thigh. When Imran, his friend, ran to his help, the accused stabbed him in the chest and ran away, police said. While Asif was undergoing treatment, Imran died.

In a third incident, Rishi Khosla (47), resident of Byramji Town, was stabbed to death at 12.15 am on Thursday at Nelson square. Police arrested Micky Bakshi, owner of a security services agency, in the morning.

Bakshi and his wife were going through divorce, a senior police official said. Probe revealed that Khosla, who was friends with Bakshi's wife, used to help her financially. Bakshi therefore allegedly decided to kill him and gave the `contract' to one Nanu Dasarwar, the officer said.

Dasarwar was absconding. Further probe is on..
