Maha clears Rs 992-cr additional expenditure for MIHAN

The Maharashtra Cabinet onWednesday granted administrative and financial approval forRs 992-crore additional expenditure for the Multi-ModelInternational Passenger and Cargo Hub Airport at Nagpur(MIHAN)

The project aims at developing the existing Nagpurdomestic airport as an international passenger and cargo hubairport along with a huge special economic zone (SEZ), whichis abutting to the boundary of the airport

According to an official statement, the government hadearlier approved Rs 1506 crore expenses for carrying out landacquisition, rehabilitation and technical works relating tothe project.
