At 12.6 deg Celsius, Ganganagar coldest in Rajasthan

Night temperatures marginally increased in parts of Rajasthan where Ganganagar was recorded as the coldest place on Thursday with a minimum temperature of 12.6 degrees Celsius. Dabok and Churu recorded minimum of 13.3 and 13.8 degrees respectively while the night temperature at other places was 14-15 degrees, a MeT official said here.

Ganganagar, Churu and Bikaner also recorded 13.3, 5 and 2.8 mm rains respectively till Thursday evening, he said. The weatherman has predicted light rains at some places in the state during next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, a woman and her minor son were killed in lightening strike in Sikar district. Savita Devi (40) and his son Gurmeet Singh (13) died in the incident in Shaym Nagar tan chokdi village in Khandela police station area, police said.
