Punjab Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Tuesday gave nod to rename four government schools after freedom fighters and martyrs under its educational institutions renaming policy. Singla said that the state government has taken this initiative to recognize the unique work of the eminent personalities, martyrs and freedom fighters to preserve their legacy and to magnify their respect in the society.

Sharing the information, he said, "Government High School Sadda Singh Wala in Moga has been renamed as Ghadri Baba Bishan Singh Hindi Government High School. Likewise, Amloh Road Khanna in Ludhiana named as Raghbir Singh Freedom Fighter Government High School and Government Middle School Rauli in Rupnagar as Shaheed Kulwinder Singh Government Middle School." "Government Primary School, Sherpur Sodhian in Sangrur has been renamed as Shaheed Baljeet Singh Government Primary School. The notification in this regard would be issued shortly" he added. (ANI)
