India reserves right to respond firmly and decisively to any cross-border terrorist attack, MEA has said.
This comes after Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan has "reliable intelligence" that India will attack again this month, as tension over a February standoff between the two nuclear-armed neighbours had appeared to ease. The attack could take place between April 16 and 20, he said, adding that Pakistan had told the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council of its concerns.
Pakistan summoned the Indian deputy high commissioner to protest against any "misadventure". "Indian deputy high commissioner was summoned for demarche in line with Foreign Minister's briefing of today and warned against any misadventure," Pakistani Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal said in a Tweet.
