An unidentified man was run over by a train here, police said today.
He was run over by the Nawanshahr-bound Diesel Multipurpose Unit (DMU) near the JCT mill railway crossing here last night, they said.
The deceased appeared to be 35-40 years of age, they said.
The body has been kept in a mortuary of a civil hospital here for identification, police said.
