Curfew imposed in Raj town after attack on Kanwariyas

"An unruly mob today gathered in the town and torched a shop. We dispersed them and a curfew was imposed," Additional SP Goverdhan Sekaria said.

Members of the minority community had attacked the Kanwariyas while they were passing through a Muslim-dominated area in Malpura yesterday.

The incident led to tension in the area and an angry mob torched a vehicle following which Section 144 of CrPC, which prohibits the gathering of crowds, was imposed.
