Nickel recovers on renewed demand

Nickel prices recovered at the non-ferrous metals market here today on stockists' buying amid renewed demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, copper utensils scrap, aluminum ingots, and brass utensils scrap also rebounded modestly owing to fresh demand from consuming industries.

While, copper cable scrap, copper billets marginal and zinc eased owing to subdued demand from industrial users.

Nickel rose by Rs 5 to Rs 985 per kg from Thursday's closing level of Rs 980.

Copper utensils scrap and aluminum ingots moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 419 and Rs 162 from Rs 417 and Rs 160, respectively.

Brass utensil scrap edged-up by a rupee per kg to Rs 341.

However, copper cable scrap and copper billets moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 453 and Rs 481 as against Rs 455 and Rs 483, respectively.

Zinc softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 215.
