Dr. Tsatsu Tsikata the former CEO of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), has received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Ghana Energy Awards held in Accra.

Tsatsu Tsikata was rewarded for contributing immensely to the growth of the Ghanaian energy sector. Due to his strong leadership since his joining in 1988, GNPC has become a standard among the emerging oil companies.

“It was an honour to have served. I was particularly proud of the many Ghanaians I worked with. It is unto them I would like to dedicate this award to. It is those technically competent Ghanaians, those who were right there at the beginning of GNPC that I would dedicate this award to” … Tsikata said.

The award isn’t a surprise to many Ghanaians as he beautifully distinguished himself during his tenure with GNPC as one of the most celebrated personalities in the oil and gas industry.

He dedicated his prestigious award to his colleagues who had dedicatedly supported him during his tenure. The Ghana Energy Awards Scheme was instituted to recognise the efforts of individuals and organizations in Ghana’s energy sector.
