Davies Narh Korboe, Chairman of the National Farmers Awards Winners has appealed to the government to pay more attention to commercial farming in all policies. He has also appealed to support smallholder farmers to combat the food security problems in Ghana.

According to Davies Narh Korboe, if the government of Ghana agrees his proposal, it will further enable the nation to achieve the 'Ghana Beyond Aid' agenda. Simultaneously, it will also enable commercial farmers to focus on industrialisation to help boost the country's economy, as reported by Graphic Online.

“The needed support particularly feed for the poultry industry, that sector alone could transform the country from depending on aid to international trade thereby boosting Ghana’s economy,” Korboe told the publication.

“Agriculture is the game changer, hence the need for us to use agriculture to move Ghana to the next level. Apart from God and the air that we breathe, the next most important thing is food,” he added.
