"Rashtriya Balrang-2018", a two day event to be organized by Education Department of MP

School students from 18 States and two Union Territories would participate in a cultural festival beginning here on December 20, an official announced Tuesday. The two-day "Rashtriya Balrang-2018" is being organized by the School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalya, said State's Public Instructions Commissioner Jaishri Kiyawat.

Governor Anandiben Patel would inaugurate the event. "'Balrang' is a unique programme that has been held in Bhopal since the past 23 years. As many as 520 students from various schools in 18 states and two union territories will present folk dances, songs, and other cultural programmes. Winning teams would be given awards", said Kiyawat.

On December 19, a competition of teams from various divisions of Madhya Pradesh would be held, and a team would be selected for participation in "Balrang 2018", she added. At the occasion, an exhibition about career counseling would also be organized.
