Miss Rwanda 2019 declared, Meghan Nimwiza wins the crown

Meghan Nimwiza finally won the crown of Miss Rwanda 2019 bringing to a conclusion of the weeks-long contest that had stirred debate and public interest. She outshined 15 other contestants in the final to take the crown. The crown was handed over to Miss Rwanda at Intare Conference Arena in Gasabo District in Rwanda's capital Kigali.

According to KT Press, Meghan Nimwiza beat other four finalists – Ricca Michaella Kabahenda, Anitha Gaju, Casmir Yasipi Uwihirwe and Odile Sangwa Uwase. Odile Sangwa Uwase and Casmir Yasipi Uwihirwe were the second and first runners up respectively.

Besides the grand prize of a brand new black Suzuki swift, and a monthly Rwf800,000 salary, the winner of Miss Rwanda 2019, Meghan Nimwiza also walked away with a package of goodies such as sportswear, unlimited Internet, free annual saloon services, garage services and once a week hotel offer among others. Her preferred project was about encouraging the youth to take up opportunities in the agriculture sector that will consequently dwindle unemployment and develop food security.

The winner of Miss Rwanda 2019 thanked her supporters and family and welcomed her fellow contestants to cooperate with her during her reign, as reported by The New Times. She has also been gifted a Suzuki Swift car. She will also serve as Cogebanque brand ambassador for a year.

"I am grateful for God and my supporters who walked with me through this journey. I will only succeed in my projects with your help. I love you all" Miss Rwanda 2019 said after being crowned by Cogebanque managing Director.
