Zimbabwean Minister emphasizes construction of provincial airports

The government of Zimbabwe has a plan to construct provincial airports to strengthen the openness of business hymn including the process of implementing the devolution process.
Joel Biggie Matiza, Zimbabwe's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure said while confirming the report that the government tasked Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe to oversee the project. "The potential in the provinces is very high, as a ministry, we are cognizant of this fact and we would want to see that the economy grows through the contribution of upgrading and building new infrastructure," the Minister opined, Construction Review Online noted.
The Civil Aviation Authority is presently carrying out feasibility studies for the construction of the new infrastructure. Matiza is also touring new road projects across the nation following the release of funds by the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (Zinara) and also inspected the progress on the construction of Mutawatawa-Pfungwe Road.
