Turkey's main opposition leader plays down splintering of anti-Erdogan bloc

The leader of Turkey's main opposition party downplayed on Friday a disagreement on presidential candidates, in his first remarks after a shock statement from the head of the nationalist IYI Party that signalled it will leave an opposition bloc.

"Don't worry, all stones will fall into place," Kemal Kilicdaroglu of the Republican People's Party (CHP) said, according to broadcaster Haberturk and other media.

The bloc is challenging President Tayyip Erdogan in elections set for May.
