Syria's Assad says expects tangible economic gains from Russia talks

Syrian President Bashar al Assad told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday he envisaged tangible economic results from his first known visit to Moscow since the war in Ukraine began.

Assad was speaking with his strongest ally Putin in joint remarks ahead of formal talks in Moscow that Syrian officials are pinning hopes will bring more Russian investments to help support the war-torn sanctions hit country.
