China and Benin establish strategic partnership - Chinese state media

China and Benin on Friday established a strategic partnership, following talks between Chinese president Xi Jinping and visiting President Patrice Talon at Beijing's Great Hall of the People, according to Chinese state media.

Both countries also agreed to strengthen cooperation in counterterrorism and security, education and healthcare, according to a Chinese readout of the meeting published separately.
