Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak resigns over U.N. pact rift

Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak has resigned in reaction to a decision by parliament to reject a U.N. pact on migration, the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

Lajcak warned he would leave his post should the pact be rejected. He had served as the president of the United Nations Organisation General Assembly when the document on migration was approved.
