Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, Angola’s capital Luanda province’s governor has reiterated the appeal to the officials of the sector for a better transparency and strictness in managing the public funds.

The governor made the appeal on December 10 at the swearing-in ceremony of the new members, having requested work commitment and a spirit of dedication to daily tasks.

He highlighted the requirement to fight against corruption, lack of transparency and other practices that tarnish the good governance. He further demanded humility, responsibility, sense of mission and respect for the citizens.

Baptista Adão Correia was sworn in as director of the Provincial Office of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland and Afonso Antas Miguel appointed the head of the Technical Unit for the Management of Sanitation in Luanda (UTGSL).

 Also sworn in were Zenilda Inglês and Catarina Cardoso, respectively deputy director of the Technical Unit for the Management of Sanitation in Luanda and Secretary of the Provincial Governor of Luanda.
