Israel must change how it is carrying out the Gaza war or face consequences, White House says

If Israel does not change how it is carrying out its war in Gaza, the U.S. will change its policy toward Israel, White House spokesman John Kirby said on Thursday.

Kirby's comments to reporters came a few hours after U.S. President Joe Biden gave his strongest public rebuke toward Israel since the start of its war with Hamas, warning American policy on Gaza will be determined by whether Israel takes steps to address the safety of Palestinian civilians and aid workers.
