US could still see a Fed rate cut this year, Biden predicts

An unexpected jump in inflation could delay the U.S. Federal Reserve's plans to cut interest rates, President Joe Biden said on Wednesday, but he predicted a cut would still happen in 2024.

"I do stand by my prediction that before the year is out there will be a rate cut," Biden said, but the new number may delay it.
