Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his promise of wealth survey in the country, alleging that the Wayanad MP has a "Maoist thought process". The BJP MP, in a no-holds-barred attack on the Congress, said that the party only "show off" about their concerns for minorities.

"They are talking about minorities in their manifesto almost 16-17 times. Manmohan Singh said that the minorities have the first right to the country's resources. In Andhra Pradesh, they reduced the reservation for SCs and STs to give more reservation to Muslims. The HC quashed that decision twice based on religion," he said while speaking to ANI. Ravi Shankar Prasad further said that the Opposition bloc, formed to take on the BJP-led NDA in the Lok Sabha elections, can "go to any extent to get votes".

Sharing a Congress advertisement on rising prices and unemployment in India on social media platform X, former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi said, "Unemployment and inflation are at their peak in the country and Narendra Modi says 'everything is fine'.
