Arvind Kejriwal hails court decision against Sajjan Kumar

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today welcomes the court's decision against Sajjan Kumar.

Kejriwal said, "At last after 34 yrs Sikh community got some justice. Hope other big leaders involved in this will also be punished & similarly perpetrators behind the 2002 Gujarat riots & Muzaffarnagar riots also get punished".

Earlier the Delhi High Court Monday sentenced Congress veteran Sajjan Kumar to life in the first conviction of a politician in the deadly anti-Sikh riots in 1984, holding it was perpetrated by those with "political patronage" and pushed for a new law for speedy prosecution of genocide and mass killings.

On Tuesday Sajjan Kumar has written to party president Rahul Gandhi submitting his resignation from the primary membership of the party.
