Bihar Lok Sabha Polls Conclude Peacefully with 50.56% Voter Turnout
The Bihar Lok Sabha polls concluded peacefully in eight constituencies with a provisional voter turnout of 50.56%. Despite minor clashes, the election process largely remained unaffected. Security forces also confiscated cash and liquor worth crores. Authorities had made necessary arrangements to combat the prevailing heatwave conditions.

The seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha polls in Bihar's eight constituencies saw a largely peaceful conclusion on Saturday, featuring a provisional voter turnout of 50.56%, according to officials.
The polling process took place from 7 am to 6 pm across Patna Sahib, Patliputra, Arrah, Karakat, Jehanabad, Buxar, Nalanda, and Jehanabad. Out of the total 1.62 crore eligible voters, residents cast their votes across 16,634 polling stations.
Despite the peaceful proceedings, minor clashes between political supporters were reported in Bhojpur, Kaimur, and Jehanabad, leading to 85 arrests. The overall voter turnout figures were recorded as follows till 6 pm: Patliputra (56.91%), Buxar (53.70%), Karakat (53.44%), Jehanabad (51.20%), Sasaram (51%), Arrah (48.50%), Nalanda (46.50%) and Patna Sahib (45%). Additional Director General J S Gangwar noted that Rs 3.41 crore in cash and liquor worth Rs 15.52 crore were seized on election day.
