BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav's Cavalcade Attacked Post Polling

BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav reported an attack on his convoy by alleged RJD supporters after polls concluded in the Patliputra constituency. The incident happened near Tineri village in Masaurhi, Patna. Gunshots were reported, and the investigation is ongoing. The seventh phase of Bihar's Lok Sabha polls saw a 50.56% voter turnout.

BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav filed a complaint with the police on Saturday, claiming his convoy was attacked by RJD supporters after polling ended in the Patliputra constituency.

Yadav, a twice-serving MP and former Union minister, is competing against Misa Bharti, daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, in Patliputra.

Superintendent of Police Bharat Soni confirmed receiving information about the attack near Tineri village in Masaurhi, Patna, around 7:30 pm on Saturday. The complaint also mentioned gunshots at the convoy. Further investigations are being conducted.

The seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha polls in Bihar saw a largely peaceful process with a 50.56% provisional voter turnout, officials stated.
