Amidst a wave of exit poll projections favoring the BJP-led NDA, Congress leaders expressed strong confidence in surpassing these predictions in crucial states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Punjab.

During an online interaction hosted by Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, state leaders including Assam Congress Chief Bhupen Borah and Punjab's Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa asserted significant gains for the party. Bajwa emphasized that the INDIA bloc would secure at least 10 seats in Punjab, leaving the NDA with none.

The virtual meeting also saw contributions from Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and Bihar Congress Chief Akhilesh Prasad Singh, who predicted notable victories in their respective regions. This collective optimism among state leaders comes in stark contrast to exit polls, which forecast a majority for the ruling NDA.
