Necessary arrangements are now complete for the crucial vote counting exercise in Telangana's 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday. Officials confirm around 10,000 personnel are ready to facilitate the process.
Vote counting will commence from 8 a.m. at 34 centers, where postal ballots and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be scrutinized separately. A stringent three-layer security cordon and 12 companies of central forces have been deployed to ensure the process remains secure.
This pivotal event also includes the counting of votes for the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly bypoll, following the demise of BRS MLA G Lasya Nanditha. As the main political parties—Congress, BRS, and BJP—await the outcomes, Telangana's Chief Minister and TPCC President A Revanth Reddy has instructed Congress candidates to appoint vigilant counting agents to oversee the process.
