According to trends available by the Election Commission around noon, the BJP-led NDA is leading in a significant majority of Bihar's 40 Lok Sabha seats.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD(U), a recent returnee to the NDA fold, was ahead of its rivals in 14 out of 16 seats it contested.

The BJP was leading in 11 of the 17 seats it contested, while its junior ally, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), was ahead in all five of its contested seats, including a substantial lead by its president Chirag Paswan in Hajipur.

The RJD, which faced a crushing defeat in the previous general elections, was showing signs of recovery, leading in five of 23 seats. Notably, Lalu Prasad's eldest daughter, Misa Bharti, was leading in Pataliputra, though her sister Rohini Acharya was trailing in Saran.

The CPI(ML) Liberation was leading in two of the three seats it contested, Arrah and Karakat. Union Minister and BJP MP RK Singh was trailing in Arrah, and Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh was a distant third in Karakat.

The Congress showed mixed results, leading in the reserved Sasaram seat but trailing JD(U) in Kishanganj, its previous stronghold.

Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had built an almost unassailable lead in Gaya, representing Hindustani Awam Morcha, an NDA ally.

In Begusarai, the CPI was neck and neck with Union Minister and BJP MP Giriraj Singh.
